Dear CCM Friends

Dear CCM Friend:Many years from now, we will still be remembering these days…the times now are exceptionally significant. It’s good to know that above all else, our times are in God’s hands.These are days to be spiritually sensitive and prudently active in engaging in Kingdom work. I am urging each of you to be in prayer, seeking the Lord, worshipping and thanking Him, seeking His will, feeding on His Word. There is intense spiritual warfare happening; lives hang in the balance. It’s not the time to be casual, flippant, disengaged, cynical, or contrary to the leading of the Holy Spirit.In the midst of a lengthy season of spiritual war, we have arrived at Halloween. My own belief is that “this is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” What that means is engaging this specific day in the manner for which we - and the day - were created…another opportunity to serve and honor Jesus Christ in our thoughts, words, and actions. It also means that those who are wise and flowing with God’s Spirit will not celebrate that which is dark or give any foothold to the enemy in the things that we honor or participate in (see Galatians 6:7).Furthermore, there are four specific positive opportunities we have in the next few days to strengthen one another and extend Christ’s Kingdom:1) Saturday, November 1, Ministry to Women featuring worship, sharing from Greta Collins, small group fellowship and dialogue, and prayer. The gathering begins at 9:00AM in the Higher Grounds Coffee Shop, and then continues from 9:30AM - 11:30AM in the CCM Sanctuary. Greta will be sharing something that is very close to her heart, and there is a lot of life in this word - don’t miss it, and invite others to be there with you.2) Sunday, November 2, we will spend some time during our Sunday 10:30AM service sharing together about the serious issues facing our nation, including the upcoming election. I hope you will come early, already prepared in prayer and praise, ready to worship the Lord together with our spiritual family, and discuss issues of great historical importance.3) Sunday, November 2, 6:00PM - 7:30PM, we will gather again in the Sanctuary for an intense time of seeking God and interceeding in faith for our nation, in accordance with 2 Chronicles 7:14. I believe the Holy Spirit desires to not only touch our nation, but to go deep into the lives of individuals. Encourage everyone who loves Jesus Christ, who loves His people, and who loves this nation to be with us Sunday night. Could we actually be poised on the brink of the next great revival?4) Tuesday, November 4, is a day for us to vote for the next President of the United States, as well as other vital offices such as US Senator, US Representative, and others. Please exercise your vital responsibility to vote and express your conscience.You are all constantly in my thoughts and prayers.
