I was reading up on St. Patrick by checking his facebook page. The following is what I learned there and from google.
St. Patrick was a Scotland born briton around the year 385. He was a slave at 16 years old, and during that time he met the Lord. His Druid slave masters called him “holy boy,” because he loved to talk about Jesus.
Before he died in Ireland, he had baptized 120,000 people, and established 300 churches.
That’s pretty saintly!
St. Patricks’s day is a celebration of the saint, and it has also become a celebration of Irish culture and heritage. As we celebrate the great nation of Ireland, let us also remember the man of God who influenced so many Irish men and women for Christ!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
